BETHLEHEM, April 20, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Thursday flooded agricultural land with sewage in the village of Beit Tamar, east of Bethlehem, according to a local source.
Hasan Burajiya, a local anti-settlements activist, told WAFA that Israeli soldiers stationed at a military base located on a hill overlooking the village flooded agricultural land planted with olive trees with the camp’s sewage.
He said that landowners had filed a lawsuit against the military base, established in 2002, to stop the flooding of their land with wastewater.
The court had ordered the base to pump out the wastewater once every four days but the soldiers continued to intentionally pump it at all times.
