RAMALLAH, April 11, 2017 (WAFA) – Muslim and Christian clergy Tuesday stood outside the Coptic Church and the Egyptian embassy in Ramallah in a show of solidarity with the Copts of Egypt following the explosion that ripped through two Coptic churches on Sunday.
Participants denounced the explosion that killed and injured dozens of people on Palm Sunday.
Speaking to the gathering, Sheikh Mustafa Tawil, head of the Islamic Sharia court, condemned the attacks, describing them as “criminal acts committed by people who do not follow any religion.”
“Terrorism has no religion and those who commit such cowardly acts are devoid of humanity and ethics,” he said.
Father Abdullah Yolyou, a priest at the Catholic church in Ramallah, said the Palestinian people, Muslims and Christians, stand together against terrorism.
He called for a united stand against those who try to create a rift in Arab society.
