Israeli authorities notified on Thursday, the residents of Aqraba village, southeast of Nablus that their land will be confiscated.
The Palestinian official responsible for settlement affairs in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Doglous, said that the confiscation order is old and was renewed, adding that the order includes the confiscation of five dunums land.
Activist for settlement resistance, Hamzeh Deirieh, said that hundreds of dunums are threatened with confiscation in the surrounding area.
In a related context, Israeli forces demolished a house in Deir Ballout village, west of Salfit Province, under the pretext that the house was build without a legal license. The 130 square meters house belongs to Ghanem Mahmoud Abdul Karim.
Mayor of Salfit, Kamal Yousef, said that 70 houses located in the same area, are also threatened with demolition under the same false pretext, and said that Israeli army troops and a bulldozers raided the village at dawn, and demolished at least one house.
Researcher Khaled Ma'ali said that dozens of houses in Salfit are threatened to be demolished under the pretext that they are located in Area C, and were constructed without a license. The villages of Burqin and Kufr al-Deik are especially threatened. The constant threat of demolition creates a sense of instability and tension for the houses' residents.
