| Abbas is expected to discuss the impossibility of Palestinian armed resistance moving against the occupying Israeli state. The only solution, he has realized, is the nonviolent resistance: a movement ongoing for years. He said during his meeting with the delegation of the Kuwaiti Journalists Association in the Jordanian capital of Amman yesterday that the Palestinians are using all forms to liberate the country. He put the nonviolent resistance at the top of the list of methods, an option the president said, continuously “embarrasses Israel.” President Abbas said of the nonviolent Palestinian resistance, “It puts them [Israeli administration] in a position of suspect.” The Palestinian uprising of the second Intifada between 2000 and 2005, was a reasonable response to occupation, Abbas said in Amman today. But the Israeli reaction which included the destruction of government buildings in the Gaza Strip and West Bank was not, he told reporters. The president said that Palestinians have experienced what he called the destruction of buildings and the killing of life, pushing them to think of another way of resistance.
