| Gaza / PNN – With the blockade on the Gaza Strip in its third year the chairman of the People's Committee against the Siege says that solidarity activities have not slowed down. Jamal Al Khudari told reporters today that three more European ships will set sail beginning at the end of this month. The resumption of solidarity voyages by the Free Gaza movement is slated to take place from the Cypriot port of Larnaca on 25 June. Cargo on these ships includes cement as one of the materials banned from entering Gaza, yet crucial for rebuilding efforts after the Israeli attacks. The first of several Free Gaza ships that arrived to break the siege was on 23 August. Recent voyages have been abandoned due to Israeli attacks that prevented passage. The European project includes Arabs and Palestinians, parliamentarians and activists. Al Khudari said from Gaza today, “The ships intend to assert the right of the Palestinian people to access the sea, as well as to meet the needs of reconstruction and the alleviation of suffering through procuring basic supplies.” The Chairman of the Popular Committee against the Siege is also a Palestinian Legislative Council member.
