The Palestinian leader is to meet Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan later on Thursday, and he will hold talks with President Abdullah Gül and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu on Friday.
Abbas will also attend the opening of a new Palestinian Embassy building in Ankara.
Turkey mediated four rounds of peace talks between Israel and Syria last year and has also offered to mediate between Israel and the Palestinians.
