Bil'in night raid, one arrest 01.09.09

Shortly after 3am, Bil'in was invaded again. 4 Jeeps and a military truck entered the village with over 50 soldiers. The Israeli occupation forces raided three homes simultaneously and arrested Abed Baset Mohammed Abu Rahme (age 19).

In the second house, they tried to arrest Yaseen Mohammed Ali Yaseen (20), but he was not at home. They left a military order for him to turn himself in by 9am the next day.

In the third house, they wanted to arrest Mohammed Ahmed Yaseen (age 20), but did not find him at his home either.

The soldiers acted very swiftly. As they encountered many international activists who stood in their way filming and challenging their action as well as following the movement of the jeeps, the soldiers threw tear gas and sound bombs to disperse them and clear the way. They also used a laser beam on some of the activists as a means of intimidation.

Around 4am, all the military vehicles left the village exiting toward the Apartheid Wall.

اعتقال مواطن ومداهمة منزلين آخرين في بلعين

     قامت قوة عسكرية مكونة من خمسين جنديا من المشاة  واربع سيارت عسكرية بمداهمة قرية بلعين فجر اليوم، وقد قامت مجموعة من الجنود بمحاصرة منزل محمد مصطفى أبو رحمة واعتقال ابنه عبدالباسط (20سنة)، وقد حاصرت قوة أخرى منزلي ياسين محمد ياسين (19 سنة)، ومحمد أحمد ياسين (20 سنة) وتفتيشهما والعبث بمحتوياتهما ومن ثم البحث عنهما، ولكنهم لم يجدوهما في منزليهما.

     وقد حاولت مجموعة من الشباب من ابناء القرية إلى جانب المتضامنين الدوليين الذين يتواجدون في بلعين على مدار الساعة ملاحقة جنود الاحتلال وعرقلتهم لثنيهم عن اعتقال شباب القرية، إلا أن جنود الاحتلال ردوا عليهم بقنايل الغاز والصوت، مما تسبب في إيقاظ الأطفال والنساء والشيوخ من نومهم نتيجة استنشاق الغاز.

وتستمر عملية المداهمات الليلية والاعتقالات التي بدأها جنود الاحتلال قبل شهرين ليصل عدد المعتقلين إلى 29 معتقلا مازال 19 منهم في سجون الاحتلال. وتأتي هذه الحمل لثني أهالي بلعين عن نضالهم ضد بناء الجدار والمستوطنات المقامة على أرضهم منذ أكثر من أربع سنوات ونصف.
