Three were arrested, one wounded and dozens were suffocated at the weekly demonstration in Bil’in

     Three were arrested at the weekly demonstration in Bil’in today; two of them are Israeli peaces activists; Asaf (25) years, Ben Ronein ( 26) years, and the photographer Haetham AL Khateeb(33). Although, Husam Al Khateeb was wounded, in addition to  dozens were injured due to inhalation a tear gas, which were thrown at them by the Israeli occupation soldiers, during the suppression of the weekly demonstration at Bil’in, where the soldiers excessively used tear gas.

    The gathering has started directly after the Friday prayers, as the popular committee has called for the demonstration, with the participation of international and Israeli peace movements members, demonstrators raised Palestinian flags, and banners condemning the policy of occupation of the building of the wall and settlements and the closure of roads and setting up barricades and daily arrests, raids and incursions. However, the demonstrators raised banners, glorifying the ninth anniversary of the Intifada.

    Demonstrators walked in the village streets, chanting the slogans against the occupation policy, and when they approached the gate in the barrier, which shut down by Israeli soldiers, the soldiers who were behind concrete blocks started to fire them with gas bombs, causing tens of cases of suffocation.

    Today the famous Israeli human rights lawyer Adv. Tamar Pelleg-Sryck (83) – who was the lawyer of the village of Bil’in from the first days of the demonstrations before Adv. Gaby Lasky – visited Bil’in and supported our actions. She says “I strongly oppose the building of the apartheid wall; the people of Bil’in have the right to defend the land and they shouldn’t be arrested for practicing their right. I hope that Israeli human rights organizations will express their support of the Bil’in cause”.

اعتقال ثلاثة متظاهرين وأصابة مواطن والعشرات بحالات الاختناق

 في مسيرة بلعين الأسبوعية

     أعتقلت قوات الاحتلال ثلاثة أشخاص بينهم متضامنان إسرائيليان يدعيان أساف (25) وبن رونين (26)، والمصور الصحفي هيثم الخطيب (33) الذي يعمل مصورا لدى اللجنة الشعبية لمقاومة الجدار، وأصيب مواطن بجراح يدعى حسام الخطيب، والعشرات بحالات الاختناق جراء استنشاقهم لقنابل الغاز المسيل للدموع التي القاها عليهم جنود الاحتلال الإسرائيلي خلال قمعه لمسيرة بلعين الأسبوعية، حيث استخدم الجنود القنابل الغازية بصورة مفرطة.

    وانطلقت المسيرة التي دعت إليها اللجنة الشعبية لمقاومة الجدار بعد صلاة الجمعة وبمشاركة دولية وإسرائيلية من حركات السلام، وقد رفعوا الأعلام الفلسطينية، واليافطات المنددة بسياسة الاحتلال من بناء للجدار والمستوطنات واغلاق الطرق ووضع الحواجز والاعتقالات اليومية والمداهمات والاجتياحات، وأخرى تمجد الذكرى السنوية التاسعة لانتفاضة الأقصى.

     وقد سارت الجموع في شوارع القرية وهم يرددون الهتافات الوطنية الرافضة لسياسة الاحتلال، وعند اقترابهم من بوابة الجدار التي اغلقها جنود الاحتلال، امطرهم الجنود الذين كانوا يكمنون خلف المكعبات الاسمنتية بالقنابل الغازية، مما تسبب في حدوث عشرات حالات الاختناق وأدى إلى تفريق المتظاهرين.

    هذا وقد شاركت  في المسيرة اليوم المحامية تمار بيلك محامية اللجنة الشعبية التي كانت تتابع حالات الاعتقال في في السجون الإسرائيلية عام 2005 قبل ان تتسلم الملف المحامية جابي لسكي، وقد أعربت عن تضامنها ودعمها للجنة الشعبية لمقاومة الجدار واستنكرت الاعتداءات التي يتعرض إليها أعضاء اللجنة الشعبية من اعتداءات واعتقالات، فهم من حقهم الدفاع عن أرضهم، ودعت منظمات حقوق الإنسان الإسرائيلية للتدخل لوضع حد لهذه الاعتداءات.
