JERUSALEM, October 4, 2009 (WAFA)- Tens of Palestinian citizens were injured during clashes between Israeli Police and worshipers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Israeli Army and the Police are attacking since this morning the worshipers who where in the mosque since last night, in protest against radical Jew Colonizers. They declared intention to attack and pray in Aqsa Mosque on occasion of the Sukkot (Feast of Booths).
According to our correspondent in Jerusalem, the Occupation Authorities closed all the gates of the holy Aqsa Mosque, forbidding citizens to enter the Mosque in support of worshipers.
Israeli police and soldiers attacked and arrested gatherings of citizens at entrances of Old City. They were pupils, prayers, and workers, as well the guards of Aqsa Mosque.
Governor of Jerusalem Adnan al-Husseini, said Israeli police had denied entry to the esplanade the al-Aqsa mosque, describing the situation as “very tense.”
