****Bil'in night invasion 5\9\2009

Around 2:30am, the Israeli occupation forces invaded Bil'in again. They raided two houses but no arrests were made.

They raided the house where Hamza Burnat (age 16) lives and attempted to arrest him, but he was not at home at the time. They also raided the house where Yaseen Mohammed Ali Yaseen (age 21) lives but could not find him either. And house of Mohamed Ahmed Yaseen.

During the raid at both houses, Palestinian and international activists challenged the soldiers standing guard outside. They were told that they were in a "closed military area," were not allowed to film, and that they had to go home. Since the photographer, Hamde Abu Rahma, who showed his Press ID, continued to take photos, the soldiers pointed the guns at him and chased after him at some point.

After intense arguing on both sides, the soldiers eventually retreated having not succeeded in arresting the wanted men. As the leaving Jeeps were surrounded by Palestinian and international activists, the soldiers threw several sound bombs to disperse them. The Jeeps then exited the village, driving towards the Apartheid Wall without any victims.

مداهمة قرية بلعين وتفتيش منازلها

   قامت قوة عسكرية من جيش الاحتلال بمداهمة قرية بلعين فجر اليوم حوالي الساعة الثانية والنصف صباحا، حيث حاصرت منازل كل من ياسين محمد ياسين(21)، وحمزة سليمان ياسين برناط (16)، ومحمد أحمد ياسين (20)، ولكنها بأت بالفشل حيث لم تجد أحدا ممن كانت تبحث عنهم، وهذه ليست المرة الأولى التي تداهم فيها قوات الاحتلال تلك المنازل.

    من ناحية أخرى منعت قوات الجيش المتضامنين الأجانب من التواجد في المنطقة المستهدفة بحجة كونها منطقة عسكرية مغلقة، وقد قامت بتصويب بنادقهم نحو المتضامنين الذين كانوا يحاولون تصوير ما يجرى، وقد قامت بالقاء قنابل الصوت نحوهم.

      With the  presence of the Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad, the Minister of Waqf and Religious affairs Mr. Mahmoud al-Habash, and two members of the PLC Mr. Muheeb Awad and Qais Abu Laila, and two members of the Revolutionary Council, Mr. Mousa Abu Zaid and Bassam Zakarneh and the Director of the Presidential Commission to oversee the aid Mr. Zafer Nubani, the Popular Committee Against the Wall in Bil'in has arranged a Ramdan breakfast  with funding from the Crescent UAE Red and in coordination with the Presidential Commission to supervise the aids.  

    Although  Participated in the breakfast, members of village councils and regulatory sites and important personalities of the Western Region in the Ramallah area, in addition to the members of the People's Committees in all the province of the country from Jordan Valley, Tulkarem, Hebron and East Jerusalem and the northern villages of Ramallah.

After having the breakfast; the participants prayed the sunset “Maghrieb” prayer. Following that, the popular committee welcomed all the participants and updated them on the latest news related to the struggle of Bil'in against the construction of the wall and settlements, and on what Bili’in village is facing from the raids and arrests. The Popular committee has thanked the Prime Minister for his interest in the issue of building the wall and his unlimited support of the committee, and thanked the participants for bearing tiredness of travel to participate in this breakfast which sends a rejection message to the construction of the wall.

    In his speech, The Prime Minister Salam Fayad,  stressed on the need to continue the popular resistance and stressed on his willingness to support this kind of struggle through the provision of the potential of endurance by praising Bil'in  achievements against the Wall in terms of access to the demolition of the wall order,  through decisions of Israeli courts or at the global level through the imposition of boycotting and in particular what happened yesterday as the Norwegian government answered Bil’in’s message, which calling for stop supporting companies that supporting the construction of settlements and the wall.

     The little girl Nariman from Dier Qedees has presented a poem which expresses its solidarity with the prisoners, although the evening concluded with a singing performance by the artist Fathi Barghouthi, as he expressed the steadfastness of Bil'in and memorized the hero martyr  Basem Abu Rahma, although he expressed his support to the development policy of Dr. Salam Fayad.

On the other hand, the popular committee in Bil'in has thanked the UAE Red Crescent Authority for funding the Ramadan breakfast, which includes all governorates of the West Bank and Gaza, and thanked the UAE government and people, as the popular committee expressed their impression on the UAE government and people actions toward the Palestinian people and Palestinian question.

رئيس الوزراء يتناول طعام الأفطار في بلعين

     بحضور دولة رئيس الوزراء الدكتور سلام فياض ووزير الأوقاف محمود الهباش وعضوي المجلس التشريعي مهيب عواد وقيس أبو ليلى وعضوي المجلس الثوري موسى أبو زيد وبسام زكارنة ومدير اللجنة الرئاسية للاشراف على المساعدات ظافر النوباني،  نفذت اللجنة الشعبية لمقاومة الجدار في بلعين إفطار الصائم وذلك بتمويل من هيئة الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي وبالتنسيق مع اللجنة الرئاسية للاشراف على المساعدات.

     وقد شارك في الافطار أعضاء المجالس القروية والمواقع التنظيمية ووجهاء المنطقة الغربية في منطقة رام الله، بالإضافة إلى أعضاء اللجان الشعبية  في كافة محافظة الوطن من الأغور وطولكرم والخليل وشمال شرق القدس وقرى رام الله.

     وبعد أن تناول المدعوون طعام الافطار وأدوا صلاة المغرب، رحبت اللجنة الشعبية بكافة الحضور، وتحدثت عن أخر المستجدات المتعلقة في نضال بلعين ضد بناء الجدار والمستوطنات،  وما تتعرض إليه قرية بلعين من مداهمات واعتقالات، وقد شكرت رئيس الوزراء على اهتمامه بقضية بناء الجدار ودعمه اللامحدود للجان الشعبية، وشكرت الحضور على تحملهم عناء السفر للمشاركة في هذا الافطار الذي فيه رسالة رفض لبناء الجدار .

      وقد تحدث رئيس الوزراء بعد ذلك مؤكدا على ضرورة مواصلة المقاومة الشعبية واستعداده المتواصل لدعم هذا النوع من النضال من خلال توفير مقومات الصمود مشيدا بما قدمته بلعين وقرى مقاومة الجدار من انجازات على صعيد الحصول على قرارات بهدم الجدار من المحاكم الإسرائيلية أو على الصعيد العالمي من خلال فرض المقاطعة وخصوصا ما جرى بالأمس من تلبية الحكومة النرويجية لرسالة بلعين الداعية إلى سحب الاستثمارات من الشركات الداعمة لبناء المستوطنات والجدار.

    وقد قدمت الطفلة ناريمان من دير قديس قصيدة شعرية تعبر خلالها عن تضامنها مع الأسرى، وأختتمت الأمسية بفقرة فنية غنائية قدمها الفنان فتحي البرغوثي معبرا خلالها عن صمود بلعين مشيدا بشهيدها البطل باسم أبو رحمة، وداعما لسياسة فياض التنموية .

     من جانبها تقدمت اللجنة الشعبية لمقاومة الجدار والاستيطان في بلعين بالشكر الجزيل إلى هيئة الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي على تمويل مشروع إفطار الصائم والذي يشمل كافة محافظات الضفة  والقطاع، وتقدمت بالشكر إلى الإمارات حكومةً وشعباً، مشيداً بمواقف الشعب الإماراتي وحكومته تجاه القضية الفلسطينية والشعب الفلسطيني.
