Israeli Army Orders Rehabilitation on Seven Houses to Stop
HEBRON, December 25, 2013 (WAFA) – Israeli army forces delivered Wednesday notices to residents of Beit Ummar, a town north of Hebron, ordering them to stop the rehabilitation work on their seven old houses, according to local activists.
The coordinator of the popular committee against settlements and the Apartheid Wall, Mohammad Awad, said that the houses were built during the Jordanian rule over the West Bank and in need of rehabilitation to save them from collapsing.
Meanwhile, the army ordered two Palestinian brothers in the town to stop working on their 7-dunums of agricultural land, planted with olive trees, despite a previous Israeli court rule allowing them to work on their land.
